The Modi government has convened an all-party meeting tomorrow, April 24, 2025, at 6 PM, under the chairmanship of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in response to the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The attack, which claimed 28 lives, including two foreign tourists, and injured several others, has sent shockwaves across the nation, prompting urgent action from the central government.

The meeting, expected to take place at the Parliament annexe, will see Union Home Minister Amit Shah brief leaders on the details of the attack and outline the government’s strategy to address the escalating security concerns in the region.

The all-party meeting is seen as a critical step toward forging a unified political stance on tackling terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Discussions are likely to focus on strengthening security infrastructure, addressing local grievances, and countering cross-border infiltration.

The Pahalgam attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been linked to cross-border terrorism, raising alarm over the volatile situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

This evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security to assess the situation and coordinate a robust response.
