Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a Public Grievance Hearing Program in Sambalpur, marking the first time such an event was held outside Bhubaneswar.

The initiative, aimed at addressing concerns from 10 districts, saw the participation of 11 ministers and senior IAS officers, ensuring swift action on grievances related to infrastructure, healthcare, employment, and rural development.

Odisha CM Public Grievance Hearing

Hundreds of citizens gathered at the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation office, eager to present their concerns directly to the state’s top leadership. The Chief Minister listened patiently to grievances ranging from land disputes and housing problems to issues in water supply and disaster management.

To facilitate smooth proceedings, the district administration made extensive arrangements, including help desks, security measures, and special counters for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals.

Speaking at the event, CM Majhi emphasised his government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and public outreach. He assured that similar grievance hearings would be conducted in other districts in the coming months to make governance more inclusive and responsive.

CM met with Padma Shri Recipients:
