In a shocking and horrific incident, a man was critically injured after a tree branch fell from above and pierced his abdomen while he was riding a bike in Kendrapada district on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Pabitra Pradhan, a resident of Baipur under the Kansara area in Kendrapada.
According to sources, Pabitra was riding his bike along the Sahaspur-Chandanpur road in Kendrapada when a heavy tree branch broke off and crashed into him, piercing deep into his stomach.
Locals and commuters rushed to rescue Pabitra, taking him to a local health facility before he was shifted to Kataka for urgent surgery due to the severity of his injury.
