Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cooperation department has suspended 15 PACS secretaries and dismissed one Data Entry Operator for irregularities in paddy procurement. This irregularity has come to the fore during 2020-21 Kharif season.
Cooperation Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain has said that the irregularity will not be tolerated. He said transparency has to be maintained under 5T and Mo Sarkar initiative by the government.
The suspended secretaries are- Radhakana Bhoi (Nuamura), Saroj Kumar Das (Dhama), Asit Kumar Pradhan (Charmal), Krupasindhu Sahu (Sahaspur), Pramod Kumar Bhoi (Samarbag), Pradip Sa
(Lakhanpur), Dillip Suna (Baidyanath), Rabi Mishra (Mahuli), Ghanashyam Pradhan (Jatesingh), Ram Krushna Padhi (Ulunda) and Prabhat Kumar Sahu (Murasundhi).
Netrananda Purohit, Boudh, Nirod Kumar Patra, Ramgarh, Dinabandhu Jena and Sukadev Rout of Sadha PACS are also placed under suspension.
This apart, Manoj Kumar Nayak, Data Entry operator of Sadha PACS was dismissed for irregularities in paddy procurement.
