Bhubaneswar: Odisha School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Thursday informed that decisions about the reopening of schools will be taken after reviewing the heatwave condition in the upcoming days.
Notably, due to the intense heatwave condition, schools are shut till April 30.
“As of now, no decision has been taken yet on the reopening of schools. Reopening of schools will be taken after reviewing the heatwave condition in upcoming days,” Minister Dash clarified.
In view of prevailing heatwave conditions across the State, the Government had announced the closure of schools for students till April 30.
Further, the school authorities have cut the summer vacation short this year for students to complete the syllabus. The summer break is scheduled to start from June 6 to 16, only for 11 days.
