The Indian Women’s Hockey Team is gearing up for an intense five-match tour of Australia from April 26 to May 4, 2025, at the Perth Hockey Stadium.
This highly anticipated series includes two matches against Australia A on April 26 and 27 and three clashes against the senior Australian team, ranked 5th in the world, on May 1, 3, and 4.
Ranked 9th globally, the Indian team views this tour as essential for fine-tuning their strategies and building confidence ahead of the upcoming FIH Pro League (European leg in June). The team’s morale is high after their recent strong performances, including a draw and shootout win against World No.1, the Netherlands, and memorable victories against Australia in the 2023-24 Pro League and the Tokyo Olympics Semifinal in 2021.
Head Coach Harendra Singh emphasized the importance of this tour in preparing the team to excel against top-tier opponents. Currently, the squad is undergoing rigorous training at the Senior Women’s National Camp (SAI, Bengaluru) to ensure they are at their peak performance for this critical series.
