Bhubaneswar: Continuing the crackdown on adulterated food production, a joint team comprising Airfield police and Quick Action Team (QAT) have busted a fake ghee manufacturing unit at Kaibalya Nagar Sundarpada here today.
Acting on a tip-off, the team conducted a raid at the factory and seized spurious ghee, some chemicals, and essences used to prepare the fake products. The cops have also seized a large number of labels of different branded companies and machines from the factory.
Police also initiated an investigation to find out the roots of the supply chain of the illegal trade.
