Designer Manish Malhotra hosted a star-studded Diwali celebration in Mumbai on Thursday evening, November 5, 2026, drawing top Bollywood celebrities including Akshay Kumar and Madhuri Dixit.
However, it was the joint appearance of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that became the undisputed highlight of the red carpet.
Red Carpet Chemistry & Paparazzi Moments
Arriving hand-in-hand, the couple displayed warm chemistry as they greeted fellow guests and stepped in front of the photographers. Aishwarya wore a vibrant red saree featuring an intricate golden border, complemented by heavy traditional gold jewelry and soft open waves. Abhishek opted for a dapper black sherwani ensemble featuring a high-collared, embroidered long jacket and tailored trousers.
When paparazzi requested individual solo shots on the red carpet, the couple politely declined, preferring to pose together.
Moments of Abhishek pulling Aishwarya closer and exchanging warm smiles quickly circulated across social media, with fans drawing parallels to their iconic public appearances from the late 2000s.
Upcoming Projects & Career Updates
The festive appearance comes ahead of major professional milestones for the actor couple. Abhishek is preparing for the release of the upcoming action thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film features Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Suhana Khan, and is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026.
Following her critically acclaimed role in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023), Aishwarya continues to evaluate scripts for her next cinematic venture.
