Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a courtesy meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Joint General Secretary (Organisation) Saudan Singh in the state capital on Monday.
The interaction focused on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level, ensuring people-oriented welfare schemes reach the last person, and accelerating Odisha’s overall development.
According to an official update shared by the Chief Minister, the discussions were productive. Majhi noted that Singh’s long organisational experience and guidance would provide fresh energy and enthusiasm to party workers. The meeting took place during Singh’s three-day visit to Odisha, shortly after he was assigned organisational responsibility for Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal, with Bhubaneswar designated as his operational centre.
Singh is also scheduled to meet state party functionaries, MLAs, and ministers during his visit as part of a broader organisational review ahead of upcoming local body elections.
