Bhubaneswar: As many as 17 places in Odisha recorded above 40 °C with Bhubaneswar recording the highest maximum of 43.2 °C with a departure of 5.3 °C and tops the list for the 2nd consecutive day.
According to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, 17 places in Odisha that recorded 40 °C or above are Bhubaneswar 43.2 °C, Boudh 42.5 °C, Baripada 42.4 °C, Titlagarh 42 °C, Jharsuguda 41.8 °C, Sambalpur 41.5 °C, Nayagarh 41.5 °C, Bolangir 41.5 °C, Talcher 41.1 °C, Sonepur 41 °C, Sundargarh 41 °C, Angul 40.9 °C, Balasore 40.9 °C, Cuttack 40.8 °C, Bhawanipatna 40.6 °C, Hirakud 40.3 °C and Malkangiri 40 °C.
The IMD regional centre here also issued a heatwave warning for Cuttack, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar) & Nayagarh districts.
