India’s military has launched a powerful counter-terrorism operation, known as Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps across the border in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh briefed political leaders on Wednesday, confirming that 100 terrorists had been eliminated in the strikes.
The operation, still ongoing, is India’s largest military action since the Balakot airstrikes of 2019. According to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, technical details of the strikes are currently classified due to operational security concerns.
Meanwhile, the first images of destroyed terror launch pads in PoK have emerged, showcasing the precision and scale of India’s strike capabilities. The use of loitering munitions, a highly advanced warfare technology, has played a crucial role in ensuring accurate targeting of terror strongholds.
The global reaction to Operation Sindoor has been swift. Israel has voiced support for India’s right to self-defence, while nations such as the U.S. and the U.K. have urged citizens to avoid travelling to Jammu & Kashmir amid rising tensions.
With this strategic move, India has sent a clear and uncompromising message—terrorism will not be tolerated, and any threats to national security will be met with decisive force.
