Kia India has launched the Carens Clavis, a premium facelifted version of the Carens MPV, designed to redefine luxury and technology in the segment.
With prices starting at ₹11 lakh, bookings open on May 9, 2025, requiring a ₹25,000 deposit via Kia’s website or dealerships.
A New Chapter in Design & Features:
The Clavis embraces SUV-inspired styling with Kia’s digital tiger face, tri-beam LED headlights, and arrow-shaped LED DRLs, complemented by starmap LED taillights and 17-inch crystal-cut dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, passengers enjoy a 26.62-inch dual panoramic display, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 64-colour ambient lighting, and a premium Bose sound system. The MPV is available in six- and seven-seater configurations, with enhanced seating adjustability for maximum comfort.
Performance & Safety Enhancements:
The Carens Clavis retains Kia’s tried-and-tested engines but introduces a new manual transmission for the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol variant. Buyers can choose between petrol and diesel options, ensuring versatility for different driving needs.
For safety, the Clavis debuts Level-2 ADAS, featuring 20 autonomous functions such as forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. Standard safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control (ESC).
Kia’s Electric Vision:
In a game-changing announcement, Kia confirmed plans for an electric variant of the Clavis, marking its first mass-market EV offering for Indian families.
Hardeep S Brar, Kia India’s Senior Vice President and Head of Sales & Marketing, remarked, “Clavis represents a leap forward in accessible premium mobility, and we’re excited to welcome customers to this next-gen experience.”
With the launch of Carens Clavis, Kia reaffirms its commitment to design excellence and cutting-edge technology, making MPV travel more luxurious and intelligent than ever before.
