A devastating road accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday near Betada Square under Basudevpur block in Bhadrak district.
15 people, including the driver of the crashed vehicle, have been injured in the mishap. The injured individuals are reported to be from areas such as Basudevpur Block, Chudamani, Edtal, and Karanja Adia. Among them, it is known that six women, including a child, are also injured.
A Bolero vehicle lost control and overturned, leaving 10 passengers injured, with 2 in critical condition.
According to reports, the victims were returning from a wedding feast in Alabar village when the vehicle crashed into a road divider near Betada market. Local residents rushed to the scene, assisting in the rescue efforts. The injured were initially taken to Basudevpur hospital, and later, the critically injured were referred to Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
