New Delhi: World Students’ Day is celebrated widely on October 15. This day marks the birth anniversary of the former president of India Dr APJ Adbul Kalam. However, the UN has not declared October 15 as World Students’ Day officially. Dr. APJ Adbul Kalam was the `11th President of India, an ace scientist, and teacher. He always admired interacting with students, being a teacher he used to disseminate a lot of lessons and knowledge to the students and to celebrate this bond we celebrate World students’ day annually on October 15.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, in full Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born on October 15, 1931, in Rameswaram, India. He was an aeronautical engineering graduate from the Madras Institute of Technology and in 1958 he joined the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Amid all of his accomplishments, he was also awarded two of the country’s highest honors, the Padma Vibhushan (1990) and the Bharat Ratna (1997).
