Dhenkanal: The body of a woman constable was found hanging in her quarters in Police Reserve Line here on Wednesday.
The deceased, identified as Sunita Naik, was reportedly posted at Dhenkanal Town Police Station.
While the exact cause behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the cop committed suicide over a family dispute.
Sources said, Sunita was staying with her husband Ganeshwar, who was also a Constable at the same police station.
In the meantime, the body has been recovered by the local police and sent for a postmortem. Investigation on the same is underway.
