Nayagarh: Wildlife crime continues unabated with the Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch on Saturday seizing two leopard skin, one deer skin during raid near Kuanria dam under Dasapalla police station jurisdiction in Nayagarh district.
Two persons have also been arrested in this regard. They have been identified as Bhagabat Majhi
Acting on reliable inputs regarding dealing or possession of wildlife products by wildlife criminals, a team of STF along with Banigochha Forest Officials conducted a raid near Kuanria Dam under Dasapalla police limits in the district.
During search, two leopard skins with other wildlife products were recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case in this regard was registered under relevant sections of IPC, Arms Act, and Wild Life (Protection) Act. Further investigation into the case is underway.
