Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued rainfall and thunderstorm with lightning alert for several districts of Odisha for the next five days.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, light to moderate Rain or thunderstorm isvery likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
Similarly, thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Angul, and Dhenkanal during the same period.
