Vigilance Arrests GRS Taking Rs 14 K Bribe

Jharsuguda: Vigilance sleuths on Friday arrested a GRS of Kanaktora GP under Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda district for accepting bribe from a person to facilitate a pucca house under PMAY. The GRS identified as Manoj Kumar Sahu has been apprehended while taking bribe of Rs.14,000/- from a Beneficiary for facilitating allotment of PMAY house as well as preparation of Muster Rolls for payment of his dues, Vigilance department stated in atweet. In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No.21/22, U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act,2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress, it added.
