A paralysed man in Harbhanga block of Boudh district survived a terrifying ordeal when a venomous snake coiled around his hand and tied him to a chair for nearly two hours.
The incident occurred in Adenigada village late Saturday night. Krishna Chandra Sahu, a paralysis patient, was asleep in his house with the window open. A venomous snake entered through the window and climbed onto his body. Unable to move or call for help due to his condition, Krishna struggled silently as the reptile tightened its grip.
Witnesses said the snake wrapped his hand firmly against a chair, leaving him trapped. His muffled cries alerted family members, who rushed in and were shocked to see him bound by the serpent. Panic spread through the household as they attempted to free him without provoking the snake.
For two hours, the family fought desperately to rescue Krishna. Finally, through careful effort, they managed to release him from the snake’s grip. They later drove the reptile out of the house safely.
