In a thrilling display of skill and determination, Veer Chotrani and Anahat Singh have officially qualified for the Squash World Championships after their stellar performances at the Asian qualifiers held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The young talents will now represent India at the World Championships, scheduled to take place in Chicago from May 9 to 17.

Anahat Singh (17 years old) emerged victorious against Toby Tse of Hong Kong, securing her first-ever World Championships appearance with a commanding 3-1 victory. Meanwhile, Chotrani (23 years old) dominated in the men’s final with a 3-0 win over local favourite Ameeshenraj Chandaran, marking his debut on the world stage.

Chotrani will join fellow Indian athletes Ramit Tandon, Abhay Singh, and Velavan Senthilkumar in the men’s singles category. However, Anahat will be the only Indian contender in the women’s singles event, making her achievement even more remarkable.

As India continues to make strides in international squash, the upcoming World Championships in Chicago will be a defining moment for these young athletes to showcase their talent and resilience on the global stage.
