Mumbai: After their film ‘Bawaal’ in 2023, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up again for Dharma Productions’ upcoming film, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. The love story, touted to be a part of the ‘Dulhania’ franchise, will be produced by Karan Johar.
On Thursday, February 22, the official Instagram page of Dharma Productions shared an announcement about their upcoming romantic comedy, ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’. The film will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan. He has directed several Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor films, respectively, including ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Dhadak’.
The caption alongside the post read, “Your Sunny Sanskari is on his way to get his Tulsi Kumari! This love story wrapped with entertainment is coming to the big screens!#SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 18th April 2025 (sic).”

‘Sunny Sansakri Ki Tulsi Kumari’ will make its grand theatrical release on April 18, 2025. In the film, Varun will essay the titular role of Sunny Sanskari while Janhvi will portray Tulsi Kumari. It is jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan.
Meanwhile, Varun and Janhvi had first collaborated for ‘Bawaal’, which released in 2023. The romantic drama was directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
