The Chief Minister’s Office, Odisha, today highlighted the flood of best wishes received from the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers of several states on the occasion of Utkal Divas.

For the past two years, Utkal Divas has been celebrated with tremendous enthusiasm. The state government organises two major state-level mega festivals — one at the birthplace of a great son of the soil and the other in the capital city of Bhubaneswar. A grand celebration is also held in the national capital, New Delhi.

Utkal Divas has now become a vibrant festival of Odia identity and pride (Odia Asmita). Greetings from eminent personalities have infused the event with even greater energy. This year, messages from the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, and the Lok Sabha Speaker have particularly delighted the people of Odisha.

In a special, nearly 1,000-word letter to the Chief Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered high praise on Odisha’s language, literature, culture, the contributions of its illustrious sons, and the state’s development initiatives. He also lauded the extraordinary work of the Chief Minister and the Odisha government. The letter is being seen as a collective source of inspiration for all Odias.

Several Union Ministers, including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and Women & Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, extended greetings via social media.

Chief Ministers of states such as Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tripura, and Meghalaya also conveyed their best wishes on the social media platform X, wishing continued progress and prosperity for the people of Odisha.
