Bhubaneswar: police have arrested two persons who were involved in robberies in the state capital Bhubaneswar. The arrestees have been identified as Rudra Pradhan (23) and Rishi Nayak (20).
As per reports, the matter came to the fore after one Prashant Kumar Biswal lodged of Bharatpur lodged a complaint with the police station regarding his bike theft on June 27.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched a probe in this regard. On the basis of the CCTV footage, cops managed to identify the accused and caught Rudra red-handed while selling a stolen bike in the market.
During interrogation, Rudra confessed about Rishi. Following this, cops nabbed Rishi by raiding at several places. The cops also recovered 17 mobile phones and three bikes from their possession.
A case has been registered and the accused were forwarded to court, sources said.
