Cuttack: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly stealing mobile phones in two separate raids in Odisha.
The arrestees have been identified as Chandan Samal of Luck police station area in Paradeep and Ajay Kumar Behera (38) from Subhadra Nagar under Madhupatna police station limits.
Reportedly, the matter came to the fore after one Akshay Kumar Sethi lodged a complaint with the local police station regarding his mobile phone theft.
On the basis of the FIR, police registered a case and arrested Chandan in this connection.
In another theft case, On March 6 one Debasish Muduli of Hadagodiya Sahi lodged a complaint at the local police station regarding his phone theft.
Acting on the complaint, Laalbag police arrested the accused Ajay on theft charges. The cops have also recovered three stolen phones from the accused
Both the accused have been forwarded to court, sources informed.
