Three labourers lost their lives after a tractor overturned in Balichandrapur, Jajpur. The unfortunate incident took place late Saturday night near Pattamundai Canal Bundh Road, under the Balichandrapur police station limits.

According to reports, the tractor lost control while travelling towards Bahadur Nagar village, where it collided with festival attendees. The victims have been identified as Utshaba Dalai (59), his wife Benga Dalai (58), and their grandson Saunti Dalai (15).

Local residents rushed to the scene and sent the injured to the Badachana Community Health Centre via ambulance. However, doctors declared all three deceased upon arrival.

Police officials have initiated an investigation, sending the bodies for post-mortem examination. The entire village mourns the tragic loss, with residents urging the government to provide financial aid to the affected families, as all victims were daily wage earners.
