TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has commissioned a new Primary Substation (PSS) at Jodinga in Nabarangapur district to enhance power supply reliability in Raighar and nearby areas.
Equipped with two 5 MVA transformers, the substation alleviates the load on the existing Raighar PSS, significantly improving power distribution for approximately 7,500 consumers. Alongside the commissioning of two dedicated 11kV feeders—Turudhi and Parchipada—voltage concerns have been mitigated, resulting in a more stable power supply.
The Turudhi feeder now serves around 4,000 consumers, while the Parchipada feeder supports an additional 3,500, ensuring better voltage stability and reduced fluctuations for homes and businesses in the region.
Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO of TPSODL, expressed optimism: “The Jodinga PSS will ease power supply constraints and improve reliability for consumers in Raighar. This step enhances overall service quality, and we remain committed to further strengthening the network.”
TPSODL continues its efforts to upgrade power infrastructure across Southern Odisha, with consistent investments in capacity expansion and network improvements to ensure better electricity services for all.
