The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has issued a Yellow Warning for eight districts of Odisha, forecasting light to moderate thunderstorms and rain.
Gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h and lightning are likely to affect parts of Cuttack, Khorda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.
The warning was issued at 8:00 PM IST and is valid for the next three hours. Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert and move to safer locations to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
