Police arrested a teacher in Mayurbhanj district for misconduct with a Class V minor girl. The incident occurred in Jharpokharia police limits and immediately sparked outrage in the local community.
Reports confirmed that the teacher behaved inappropriately with the minor from his own village. The girl’s family lodged a complaint, and police swiftly arrested the accused. As a result, the case created widespread anger and discussions in the area, with residents demanding strict punishment.
Police registered the case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Officers conducted a medical examination of the minor and recorded her statement. Later, the accused teacher appeared in court and was sent to remand. Authorities assured that the investigation will continue until justice is delivered.
The incident raised serious concerns about child safety and security in schools across Odisha. Consequently, local residents condemned the act and demanded strong legal action against the offender. District administration and the Education Department began inquiries to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents.
