Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched an independent investigation into serious allegations emerging from its Nashik office. The move comes amid claims of workplace misconduct, including sexual harassment and religious coercion.

CEO K Krithivasan addressed the issue in an official statement, outlining the company’s response and clarifying key details about individuals named in the case.

Clarification on Nida Khan’s Role

Krithivasan stated that Nida Khan, who has been widely identified in reports as an HR manager, did not hold such a position within the company.

According to TCS, she worked as a process associate and was not responsible for recruitment or any managerial duties. The clarification aims to address misinformation circulating in public discussions.

Allegations and Police Action

The Nashik unit has come under scrutiny following multiple complaints from employees. Authorities have registered several FIRs based on allegations that include workplace harassment and coercion.

Law enforcement agencies have named Nida Khan among the accused in the case. However, her family has denied all allegations, stating that she was a telecaller and had no involvement in the incidents.

Independent Investigation Underway

TCS has initiated a comprehensive internal investigation supported by independent external experts. The probe includes:

  • Advisory support from Deloitte
  • Legal oversight by Trilegal
  • Internal leadership under Aarthi Subramanian, President and COO

An oversight committee chaired by Keki Mistry, an independent director, will review the findings and recommend further actions.

Nashik Unit Continues Operations

Addressing speculation, the company confirmed that its Nashik facility remains operational.

Krithivasan clarified that reports suggesting a shutdown are inaccurate, and the unit continues to serve clients without disruption.
