BTS rapper and producer Suga (Min Yoongi) marked the completion of his mandatory social service on Saturday with an emotional note to fans, expressing gratitude, self-reflection, and a heartfelt apology.
Taking to Weverse, Suga greeted the BTS ARMY for the first time in nearly two years. “Thank you very much for waiting till now. I really missed you,” he wrote, adding that his time away allowed him to step back and reflect deeply on himself.
“I’ve only been focused on moving forward, barely taking the time to look at myself,” Suga shared. “But this period gave me the opportunity and time to look back.”
In a subtle reference to his 2024 drunk driving incident, Suga apologized for the disappointment caused, saying, “I was upset by the fact that I hurt you all. I was also very sorry to the members who had to go through a heavy heart in each of their positions because of me.”
The note, sincere and remorseful, ended with a promise: “I’ll work hard even more to repay all the love you’ve given me. I love you.”
Suga began his alternative military service in December 2023 due to a prior shoulder injury and has now officially rejoined civilian life. BTS is expected to make a full-group comeback in 2026 once all members complete their military duties.
