The Odisha Legislative Assembly received an update on the Subhadra Yojana on Saturday, with Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida presenting the latest figures.
She reported that 6.23 lakh applications remain pending for inclusion in the scheme.
According to the official statement, 6,23,555 beneficiaries are still awaiting approval. Meanwhile, 1.37 crore beneficiaries have already received the first instalment under the scheme. Another 1.19 crore beneficiaries collected the second instalment, while 97.65 lakh beneficiaries received the third instalment.
Parida emphasised that the government continues to process pending applications and aims to ensure the timely delivery of benefits. She noted that the scheme has already reached millions of women across the state, strengthening financial support and empowerment.
The Subhadra Yojana, launched by the Odisha government, provides direct financial assistance to women beneficiaries in multiple instalments. The program seeks to improve household stability and promote women’s participation in economic activities.
Members of the Assembly raised questions about the pace of application clearance and urged the government to accelerate the process. Officials assured that verification and distribution mechanisms are being streamlined to reduce delays.
