Amazon Prime Video is set to launch the Indian edition of the internationally acclaimed reality show
The Traitors, with filmmaker and talk show host Karan Johar at the helm. The series will premiere on June 12, with new episodes streaming every Thursday at 8 PM.
Uorfi Javed, Raftaar and Apoorva Mukhija are among the confirmed celebs who are set to participate in Karan Johar’s hosted, ‘The Traitors’. The show will premiere on Prime Video on June 12.
The reality series brings together 20 celebrity contestants in a high-stakes game of trust, betrayal, and strategy. The recently released trailer revealed the star-studded lineup, including:
Anshula Kapoor, Apoorva Mukhija (Rebel Kid), Ashish Vidyarthi, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Jannat Zubair, Janvi Gaur, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Raftaar, Raj Kundra, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, and Uorfi Javed.
The show’s official caption reads:

Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals at Prime Video India, described the series as “a grand production packed with drama, manipulation, suspense, and unexpected twists,” adding that Karan Johar was the ideal choice to fuel the tension among contestants vying for a significant cash prize and the coveted title.
The Traitors promises immersive entertainment and intense psychological gameplay, tailored to captivate a diverse Indian audience.
The filmmaker who is excited to step into the shoes of the director, shared his happiness and said, “Characterised by lies, deceit, betrayal, and a whole lot of drama, The Traitors is a show to watch out for! The series, co-produced by BBC Studios India Productions and All3Media International, marks Prime Video India’s foray into high-profile reality television.
