The 2025 Sportstar Aces Awards will be held at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai on Friday evening. This year, there are 24 categories of awards, among them five Popular Choice and 16 Jury Awards.
The five Popular Choice Awards are Sportstar of the Year (male), Sportstar of the Year (female), National Team of the Year, Club/State Team of the Year, and Sporting Moment of the Year, which have got more than two lakh votes.
The Jury Awards encompass a range of categories, including Sportsman of the Year (Non-Olympic Sport), Sportswoman of the Year (Non-Olympic Sport), Sportsman of the Year (Track and Field), Sportswoman of the Year (Track and Field), Sportsman of the Year (Olympic Sport), Sportswoman of the Year (Olympic Sport), Sportsman of the Year (Para Sport), Sportswoman of the Year (Para Sport), Coach of the Year, Young Achiever of the Year (Male), Young Achiever of the Year (Female), Best State for Promotion of Sport, Best Corporate for Promotion of Sport, Best PSU for Promotion of Sport, Best University for Promotion of Sport and Lifetime Achievement Award.
Additionally, the Chairperson’s Award for Sports for Social Good will honour individuals or organisations that have utilised sports to drive positive change. Two special awards, the Special Recognition – Gamechanger and Inspirational Icon Award, will also be presented.
The jury, chaired by the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, comprises a distinguished panel of sports icons, including M.M. Somaya, Abhinav Bindra, Viswanathan Anand, Anjali Bhagwat, and Aparna Popat.
