Washington D.C.: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a joint briefing with US President Donald Trump on Thursday, introduced India’s vision of ‘Make India Great Again’ (MIGA), drawing inspiration from Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) slogan. Modi emphasized that the synergy between MAGA and MIGA would create a “mega partnership for prosperity.”
“The people of America are well aware of President Trump’s motto ‘MAGA – Make America Great Again.’ Similarly, India is advancing towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047.’ In the American context, this translates to ‘Make India Great Again’ – MIGA. When America and India work together, MAGA plus MIGA forms a ‘mega partnership for prosperity’ that expands the scale and scope of our collaboration,” PM Modi said.
Reinforcing this vision, Modi posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter):
“President Trump often talks about MAGA. In India, we are working towards a Viksit Bharat, which in the American context translates into MIGA. And together, India and the USA have a MEGA partnership for prosperity!”
