Singer Sonu Nigam’s iconic 1990s track Bijuria has been reimagined for the upcoming romcom Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor.
The music video, released Wednesday, features modern beats and additional vocals by Asees Kaur, while Tanishk Bagchi handled the composition and production.
The original song, composed by Ravi Pawar with lyrics by Nigam and Ajay Jhingran, has been updated with contemporary arrangements while retaining its classic charm.

Varun Dhawan shared, “The nostalgia hit me instantly. Shooting with Janhvi and hearing Sonu Nigam sir sing was a fun experience. The hookstep, beats, and vibe have been stuck in my head since.” Janhvi Kapoor added, “The new version perfectly blends old charm with fresh energy — it makes you want to dance instantly.”
Tanishk Bagchi called it a “tribute and celebration,” aiming to preserve the original essence while giving it a modern edge. Asees Kaur said, “Singing alongside Sonu Nigam sir is special. I wanted to bring my bold and playful energy while respecting the song’s iconic vibe.”
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film also features Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul, and is set for a worldwide release on October 2, coinciding with Dussehra.
