Great Britain’s Sky Brown, 17, clinched her second world skateboarding championship after topping the women’s park event in São Paulo, Brazil.
Brown scored 88.16 points to lead the standings before rain forced officials to cancel the third run. Japan’s Mizuho Hasegawa finished second with 84.36, while Minna Stess of the United States claimed bronze with 83.90.
Speaking after her victory, Brown said, “The level is crazy. I had to put a lot down to get here, but I am definitely bummed how we couldn’t fully do a final. To win, to be a world champion on International Women’s Day, definitely means a lot, but there are bigger things going on. This feels huge and I am so thankful but there are bigger things, I just pray for peace.”
Brown first became Britain’s world champion in 2023 at just 13 years old. She also won bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and the Paris Games in 2024. Her latest triumph further cements her place among the sport’s elite.
