Odisha is set to witness a remarkable event tomorrow, May 16, 2025, as the state prepares for the ‘Sindoor Yatra’, a procession organised to honour the bravery and resilience of soldiers involved in Operation Sindoor.
The event will commence at 5 PM from the Giri Durga Temple, near the Master Canteen, and will conclude at Ramadevi University.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the yatra at Giri Durga Temple, paying tribute to the courageous soldiers. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, along with other esteemed ministers, will join the event, encouraging women’s participation in the grand procession. Many notable women leaders and dignitaries will be present to inspire and support the initiative.

The procession is expected to highlight the sacrifices made by soldiers and emphasise the empowerment of women in Odisha. Thousands of women from different walks of life are anticipated to take part in this historic march. The Mission Shakti Department has extended its support to the event, ensuring a grand and respectful tribute to the heroes of Operation Sindoor.
