Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has stepped forward to support families affected by the devastating floods in Punjab through his non-profit organisation Meer Foundation.
In collaboration with local NGOs, the foundation distributed relief kits containing medicines, hygiene products, food items, mosquito nets, tarpaulin sheets, folding beds, cotton mattresses, and other essentials. The initiative will reach 1,500 households across Amritsar, Patiala, Fazilka, and Firozpur districts, providing urgent support for health, safety, and shelter needs.
Earlier reports indicated that SRK is also planning to adopt 500 flood-affected homes in Amritsar, helping families rebuild their lives in the long term.
