Berhampur: Three lecturers of Sanskrit college in Jarada police station limits of Ganjam district landed in a soup after allegations of sexual harassment surfaced against them.
Reportedly, the matter came to the fore after a Plus III girl student of the college wrote a letter to the Prime Minister levelling allegations that the three accused have been sexually harassing tribal girl students here.
Acting upon the same, the Prime Minister’s office addressed a letter to the State Home Department following which the Berhampur SP has been directed to initiate an investigation into the matter.
On receiving the letter, police launched a probe as per Berhampur SP’s instruction. Further investigation is underway into the matter, sources said.
