Cuttack: Chief Justice of Orissa High Court, Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar, on Monday launched the SCCÂ Online Facility for Judicial Officers across the State.
SCC ONLINE is a digital resource tool that provides law information databases that make Judgments and statutes easily accessible in Virtual Mode. It enables quick retrieval of case law, statute law, notifications, and other legal materials.
Justice Arindam Sinha, Chairman, Library Committee stated that for prompt and effective adjudication, a Judge must be adept in handling legal issues with the rich source of legal knowledge gathered from constant reading of law journals, legal magazines. SCC ONLINE will serve as a tool for such legal resources.
Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar, Chief Justice, High Court of Orissa, while speaking on the occasion, stated that SCC ONLINE has tutorials and urged each of the Judicial Officers to familiarise themselves with the tutorials.
He suggested that Judicial Officers spend at least a few minutes every day using this resource which would provide valuable assistance in developing legal acumen and Judgment writing skills
