Bihar’s political landscape shifted decisively on November 19 as the NDA moved forward to form a new government after its sweeping Assembly election victory.
First, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar secured his election as NDA leader. Then, he announced his resignation from the outgoing government and scheduled his oath-taking ceremony for Thursday at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and BJP Chief Ministers will attend the historic event, underscoring its national significance.
At the same time, the BJP legislature party finalised its leadership. Samrat Choudhary won the position of Legislature Party leader, while Vijay Kumar Sinha earned the role of deputy leader. Consequently, both leaders will continue as Deputy Chief Ministers in the new government.
Additionally, Keshav Prasad Maurya declared their names and congratulated them on their roles. His announcement reinforced the BJP’s strategy of continuity and stability within the coalition.
As a result, the oath-taking ceremony promises to be a grand occasion, marking Nitish Kumar’s record 10th term as Chief Minister. Furthermore, by retaining its deputy chief ministers, the BJP signals unity and strength within the NDA alliance.
