Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters as part of the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela, held nationwide on July 12, 2025.
The event, organised across 47 locations, brings the cumulative total of jobs distributed under the initiative to an impressive 10 lakh since its inception in 2022.
Addressing the newly inducted recruits via video conferencing, PM Modi underscored the event’s deeper significance. “This is not merely a job offer. It is a responsibility, and a chance to contribute to nation-building,” he said.
The recruits will be deployed across ministries such as Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Labour and Employment, and the Department of Posts. All were selected through an established recruitment pipeline aimed at transparency and regional inclusivity.
Beyond recruitment, the Rozgar Mela offers structured induction and training programmes, preparing appointees for the responsibilities ahead. Officials highlighted its role in streamlining hiring practices while enhancing accessibility for youth across diverse regions.
The event marks another strategic step in the central government’s employment agenda, echoing Modi’s consistent push to empower India’s youth through institutional pathways. With Rozgar Mela continuing on a regular cadence, the Centre hopes to address staffing gaps in public services while reaffirming its focus on job creation and national growth.
