Rohit Sharma scored a sensational 76-ball century during the second ODI against England at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
This is Rohit’s first ODI century since October 11, 2023, marking a significant return to form ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Rohit registered his first 50-plus score after 12 innings and reached his century with 12 fours and seven sixes.
His century is the second-fastest ODI ton for the India skipper, achieved in just 76 balls.
Rohit’s innings began cautiously but he quickly found his groove, launching numerous sixes and boundaries, particularly against bowlers Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood.
There was a minor delay in the match due to a floodlight issue, but it didn’t affect Rohit’s momentum.
He finally scored 119 runs off 90 deliveries before being dismissed by Liam Livingstone.
