Unidentified miscreants allegedly snatched Rs 2.55 lakh from a person in the Infocity area in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Sisir Mohapatra, an employee of a security agency.

As per reports, Mohapatra had withdrawn the amount from the Infocity branch of the SBI to pay his child’s college fees.

As he was entering his office after parking his two-wheeler, two motorcycle-borne robbers snatched the cash and fled the scene.

Based on a complaint, the Infocity police have started an investigation into the incident. Efforts are on to identify and trace the robbers on the basis of CCTV footage, sources said.
