IPL Code of Conduct Breach

The Lucknow Super Giants faced disciplinary actions following their match against the Mumbai Indians at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Captain Rishabh Pant and bowler Digvesh Singh were penalized for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.

Rishabh Pant was fined ₹12 lakh for his team’s slow over-rate during the match. As this was the team’s first offence under Article 2.22, the penalty aligns with regulations for minimum over-rate breaches.

Meanwhile, bowler Digvesh Singh was fined 50% of his match fees for breaching Article 2.5 of the Code. This marked his second Level 1 offence this season, resulting in the accumulation of two additional demerit points, bringing his total to three. His prior offence occurred in the match against the Punjab Kings on April 1.

The decisions, as per IPL guidelines, are final and binding, with Match Referees having the ultimate say in Level 1 breaches.

The Lucknow Super Giants will hope to bounce back from these disciplinary setbacks and continue their campaign positively in the TATA IPL 2025.
