The beloved television personality, famed for his satirical political show “The Great Odisha Political Circus” on Odisha Television (OTV), succumbed to a massive heart attack on Sunday.
Ajay Nayak, originally from Kanas in Puri district, became a household name in Odisha due to his impeccable comic timing and insightful political humour. His ability to blend satire with social commentary made him one of the most admired comedians in the region. Having entertained audiences for over a decade, his contribution to Odia television remains unparalleled.
Following his untimely demise, Nayak’s mortal remains have been kept at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar, where family members, colleagues, and fans have gathered to pay their last respects. An atmosphere of shock and grief surrounds the hospital premises as tributes pour in from across the state.
Many prominent figures from the entertainment industry and political circles have expressed their condolences, reminiscing about Nayak’s lasting impact on Odia media and satire.
