In a thrilling conclusion to the league phase of the TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured an 11-run victory against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 20.

The win propels Delhi Capitals (DC) to the Final as the top team on the points table, with MI and Gujarat Giants (GG) set to face off in the Eliminator.

RCB, led by Smriti Mandhana’s scintillating half-century and Ellyse Perry’s unbeaten 49, posted a formidable total of 199/3. In response, MI’s Natalie Sciver-Brunt delivered an outstanding 35-ball 69, but her efforts weren’t enough to chase down the target, and MI fell short, finishing at 188/9 in their 20 overs.

Sneh Rana’s exceptional bowling figures of 3-26 earned her the Player-of-the-Match award. Despite Sajeevan Sajana’s late cameo, MI’s valiant effort ended in defeat.

Key Performances:

  • Smriti Mandhana: 53 runs
  • Ellyse Perry: 49* runs
  • Natalie Sciver-Brunt: 69 runs
  • Sneh Rana: 3-26

RCB’s victory sends MI and GG to the Eliminator match, which will take place on March 13. The winner of the Eliminator will face DC in the Final on March 15.

Stay tuned for more updates on the exciting WPL 2025 season!
