BJP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday and described their interaction as a memorable and enriching experience.

Chadha shared details of the meeting on X, saying he was grateful for the Prime Minister’s time and the opportunity to benefit from his “insights and guidance”.

“A morning I will cherish. Had the privilege of meeting Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. A detailed and enriching interaction. Deeply grateful for his generous time and for the opportunity to benefit from his insights and guidance,” Chadha wrote.

Raghav Chadha shares update after meeting PM Modi

The meeting comes months after Chadha moved from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Rajya Sabha MP joined the BJP in April along with several other AAP MPs. His political transition marked a significant change in his role in Parliament.

Following the meeting with Modi, Chadha publicly thanked the Prime Minister for the interaction and described it as an opportunity to gain from his experience and guidance.

Chadha takes on new Rajya Sabha role

Chadha has also taken on a new parliamentary responsibility after being appointed Chairman of the Committee on Petitions.

The appointment followed the reconstitution of parliamentary committees, which came into effect on May 20.

His move to the BJP and subsequent role in the Rajya Sabha have drawn attention as he begins working from the treasury benches after previously serving as an Opposition MP.

Chadha on his changed role after joining BJP

Chadha recently explained how his approach in Parliament had changed after moving from the Opposition to the treasury benches.

Speaking about the NEET paper leak controversy, he said his responsibility earlier was to raise questions and highlight issues. He said his focus now was on finding solutions.

“When I used to sit in the opposition, then the question was my weapon; today I sit on the treasury benches, today the solution is my responsibility,” Chadha said in the Rajya Sabha.

He also said he did not want to use the issue only to generate headlines and instead wanted to focus on addressing the concerns.

“When I was in the opposition, my job was to raise issues and raise questions… But today my role is not to mark attendance in front of the camera; my focus is to fix the system,” he said.

Raghav Chadha’s meeting with PM Modi draws attention

Chadha’s latest meeting with Modi comes at a significant point in his political journey. After years in the Opposition, his move to the BJP has brought him into a new parliamentary role.

His message after meeting the Prime Minister focused on the value of the interaction, with Chadha expressing appreciation for Modi’s time, insights and guidance.
