Prime Video announced June 12 as the worldwide premiere date for its upcoming original series Raakh, a dark investigative thriller starring Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, and Aamir Bashir.
The series will stream in Hindi across India and in over 240 countries and territories.
Directed and executive produced by Prosit Roy, Raakh is created, written, and co-directed by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, with dialogues by Ayush Trivedi. The show is produced by Endemol Shine India in association with BhaDiPa, under the leadership of Deepak Dhar, Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain, and Shyam Rathi.
The story follows a relentless investigator who launches a nationwide manhunt after two teenagers vanish without a trace. As the search deepens, he confronts the darkness of human nature and the psychological toll of justice.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said the series combines “devastating storytelling with extraordinary performances.” Rishi Negi of Endemol Shine India added that Raakh stands out for its “refusal to offer easy answers and its textured portrayal of morality and duty.”
Director Prosit Roy described Raakh as “an emotionally intense project that merges the thrill of a manhunt with an unflinching exploration of trauma.”
