A lone woman in Kundisa village, Puri’s Gop block, was restrained and robbed by armed miscreants on Monday night.
The criminals looted gold ornaments and cash before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim traumatised.
According to sources, the victim was alone at home when the unidentified assailants forced their way in. After tying her up, they ransacked the house, taking valuables, including gold jewellery and a substantial amount of cash.
Local residents expressed concern over rising crime in the area, urging authorities to enhance security measures. Police have launched an investigation and are examining forensic evidence to identify the culprits. A search operation has been initiated, and officials are questioning suspects in the vicinity.
